Black and Rimu in Puni

The clients for this project in Puni came to us with a very clear overall layout in mind, one of the duo being an architect. He had one particular feature that he wanted to get just right, that being seamless detailing where the tall cabinets frame the two picture windows at the hob and study nook. This was pulled off by some careful planning and delicate installation.

The overhead cabinets soften the otherwise masculine palette with the use of Rimu Heart Veneer which was aged for a reclaimed look. This matches the recycled Rimu dining table which joins the working kitchen island.
